Cockermouth Castle

We never go very far when it is a Bank Holiday weekend as it is always so busy.
We did go to music session at the Twa Dogs for a couple of hours this afternoon as it is on the outskirts of Keswick. We came home via the back roads and stopped off in Cockermouth and walked over the fields at the back of the castle.
Cockermouth Castle is only open a couple of times a year, from the road it can't been seen very well, but walking along the river bank and over the fields you can get quite a good view.
Still snow on  the tops and suppose to be more to come tomorrow.
