Egg rolling

This is a shot of the final scenes of our traditional egg rolling competition.

First the eggs are painted and the course set up. See first extra of KK taking careful aim. Second the eggs are rolled down the pipes to see who gets the furthest. The hens know this game and were waiting before the first egg was rolled. See extra two of hubby running the gauntlet. As soon as your egg is rolled you must run and get it before the hen has chance to get it first or she will break the shell. At the end of the game the hens get to eat the broken ones and the ones they managed to steal. 

Fun for all the family including pets.

The rest of the day was spent in the garden getting the tunnel ready to grow things and enjoying the sunshine.
