Castles and Museums

Up fairly early after a moderately better nights sleep, I had some toast and got myself dressed and ready to go and meet Sarah and her family. When everyone was ready we drove up to the castle, me with camera in tow.

Wondering around the castle with Dad as a tour guide, I forgot how expansive Pendennis really is when you start walking around it - it has the half moon battery down a little trail and the castle itself is bigger on the inside which is always a treat for tourists. A lemonade and shop visit later, I came out with a Pendennis castle patch and a postcard for my postcrossing!

We drove back down the hill to the maritime museum to see the new Titanic exhibition - its truly thought provoking and I don't know what it is about the titanic but it always gets tears out of me no matter if its the movie or a historical documentary. We did a wonder around the rest of the museum after before heading to fuel for a sandwich in the late afternoon.

Bidding farewell and heading home, we watched movies with more sandwiches and some snacks and crisps all night and generally had a very lovely evening before going to bed.
