Hole in the Wall
Another rather grey cold morning. After a relaxing breakfast we went down to Emsworth for a walk next to the sea. It was busy as the sailing club were moving their boats from their winter holdings on to the water. Some eager people were out on the water - a race was taking place and a sailing lesson for beginners. We wandered along the quay and up to the community centre to look at an exhibition of local art. We weren't very impressed by the paintings but this display of tiles on the wall outside by the local pottery group really appealed to us. I think the bricks in the wall they are mounted on make it work even better. You can see more of the full scale of the montage in Extras. I thought it would be a nice idea to create something like this along our garage wall - perhaps a tile for each month of each year we live in the house. We'd need to join the 'Hole in the Wall' pottery group and test our creative skills first! This afternoon the sun did appear and it felt a few degrees warmer but it has now clouded over and more heavy rain is forecast this evening and for most of tomorrow. I am yearning for warmer brighter weather.
