Local Boys Done Great!
A fantastic afternoon of baseball excitement today. First off, Nagasaki Sousekan, the small, strong team from my father-in-law's home town, played local team Chiben Wakayama. Both teams played incredibly well. Going into the ninth inning, Sousekan were leading nine points to seven, but then Wakayama equalised to force play into extra innings. Sousekan scored one point in the tenth inning, but then Chiben scored two points to win by eleven points to ten.
As if that wasn't exciting enough, local team Osaka Toin then romped home to a nineteen to zero victory against Hanamaki from Tohoku. Amazing! If Osaka Toin continue to play like that, they will surely repeat their victory at last year's High School Spring Baseball Tournament. Go for it, boys!
