"Oh the weather outside is frightful..."

"... but the fire is so delightful."

When I was helped to pack away kit at fencing a couple of the girls came up to me going "It's snowing! It's snowing! It's actually snowing." I didn't really believe them, but they had no reason to lie. And then I looked outside, and well, I'd be darned, they were right.

And then I had to walk the twenty minutes it took to get home, absolutely covered in snow.

It's only October.
