A mini break!

Very mini but just as refreshing!
Cathie shouted down this morning asking me if I was very busy and important, to which I shouted back yes - of course!
She wanted to escape and wondered if I wanted to escape with her....
YES!

We drove to Ambleside, stopping at the caravan at Kirby Lonsdale to get a bacon butty and a cup of tea (they only did instant coffee! :P). We then got the open top bus to Grasmere and walked back along the track beside Grasmere water, Rydal water and back into Ambleside.
It was glorious weather....it was actually Spring! And everyone we saw had a happy smile on their face and a spring in their step! I think everyone was just so happy to be out and for sun and warmth!
We had a little potter around the shops in Ambleside (where part way through I got a text from Lisa saying she'd pick me up in 20mins!!!!! I'd forgotten I was meant to be going to Harrogate with them tonight! :/  I am actually glad I forgot - not that I didn't want to go because I was looking forward to it - but because I SO enjoyed having a full day out in the beautiful lakes.) then enjoyed a coffee before going to watch Peter Rabbit at Zeffirelli's and a meal after. Mmmmmmm!
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED today! Ahhhh! :D
