Easter Saturday
Another lovely day and being the weekend there are plenty of people enjoying hanami parties. The word hanami literally means "looking at flowers," but it is used to refer to sakura or cherry blossom in particular. Every spring, people turn out in their millions across the country to celebrate the beauty of the Sakura and picnic beneath the blossom.
For the sports fans amongst you, the Japanese rugby team are known as the Brave Blossoms and use the sakura as their emblem.
