BROADIES

It's broad bean season again - means spring has truly sprung. The delicious bean whose shell is actually a magical cure for warts.

The bowl of beans is sitting on a Formica tray with a printed Orkney chart, bought from the Stromness Museum. And looking at this, I'm suddenly amused to see the tray designer got the sea all wrong - the palest blue should be the shallowest, while the deepest should be the deepest, n'est-ce pas?
