No, it's not a test fitting for Santa.  

We're restoring the full height of the chimney on the Smoking Room so that the "smoking" reference will only apply to its 19th century tobacco context, and not to the log burner being a pig to light.

Thankfully, we have a photo of the house with the original chimney so no issues (bar petty planning bureaucratic hurdles) with us being in a Conservation Area.
