Brewedinburgh

Ok, strictly speaking it wasn't brewed IN Edinburgh but in Livingston (using Alechemy Brewing equipment) but that's close (about 12 miles?). Elixir is yet another new brewer to emerge on the Scottish beer market, and they launched a new beer tonight at Cloisters Bar. Pulp Fiction is a spiced pumpkin ale brewed with roast pumpkin, cinnamon sticks and new world hops, it is fairly nice and does taste of Pumpkin and cinnamon, although I think I personally would have preferred a little more spice in it.

They also had a small amount of "Benedictine Groove" on tap which is a "Scotch Ale brewed with smoked malt, tonic wine & tablet". This is a rather unique and very tasty beer, very black it is verging on a stout but a bit sweeter and has a distinct coffee flavour, well worth keeping an eye out for it if they brew any more (I believe it is all gone now).
