Bye the by

Forester and hunter JR who I mentioned a few weeks ago when his dog was killed in a collision with a car very close to our house, has now been asked to take over the leading role in the official hunting patch which is on two of the three sides of our property. The other side is the responsibility of his work forestry boss, so in effect, JR is now in charge of our security from polar & brown bears, wolves, wild boar and all such things.


Will be a great asset to the countryside as he is a great friend of MrB who has the adjoining hunting patch and both share a great passion for the countryside in general, the improvement of the environment for all wild winged, feathered and furred animals. Yes, they enjoy their days shooting too but only where it makes environmental sense. They invest more time and money in conservation than they receive back from any meat they may be able to sell.

And so it was great to see him and his partner MsJR this evening as I set out on the dog walk and could wish him well for his new appointment. Well them actually as they both share the same interests. I am sure they will feature in the odd Blip in the future.
