How much?

Went to the museum today and saw the exhibit on baskets and bejeweled objects from the Smithsonian. Of most items my mom said either, "How much does that one cost?" or "I don't like that one very much." Thank goodness for all the "do not touch" signs. Right as she'd move in to handle one, she'd see the sign and restrain herself. She told me she had to work hard at that, and she did well!

Then we went to the library, where somehow the reference librarian got convinced my mom wanted to check out a world atlas. When I finally intervened and said my mom didn't have a library card anymore, the librarian got right with the program and agreed with my mom that yes, her dad could probably buy her one at a bookstore tomorrow.

My mom then thanked me for the lovely outing and seemed extra pleased when I told her she was spending the night at Silverado! Wow!
