Humboldts Penguin

A visit to Chester Zoo today.

They are doing some great work through the Action for Conservation programme. Although as you walk around it is alarming to see how many of the animals present are in extreme danger of extinction. The North of England Zoological Society is working with conservation groups across the globe to protect species, and breeding programmes are important to ensure that animals survive so they can be reintroduced where they have been lost. 

The refraction of light through water does some very odd things. This penguin seems to be in two places at once. Is it being capricious ?
