Curlew
While I was walking along the sea wall at Belhaven Bay this afternoon I spotted a curlew in the distance but close to the sea wall. Unfortunately by the time I had walked along the path by the sea wall carefully keeping my presence hidden from the curlew it had decided to walk further into the bay, so I was was unable to get the close-uo I had wanted. It was foraging among the meanders. When I brought my images home I saw that it was fairly wind blown as there was a stiff breeze about. It is not often we see curlews on the beach and their beautiful thin curved beak has always been an attraction to me. Only once have I managed to capture one in flight.
