Dug Over

The ground had been rotavatorred after the beech hedge came out but it is still very heavy damp clay soil not easy to dig over. It's going to take a while to go along the whole back fence. Not allowed to take out old boundary fence.

Wanting to lift the bulbs to keep & get rid of more of the wild garlic.

So the tasks are to:

take out bulbs
bin the wild garlic
dig over ground
add compost from compost bin
add layer of top soil with some mushroom compost

Then think again about the choice of planty things to replace the beech hedge as sunny but exposed.

Keep changing my mind about the planty things, argh!
