Roses are red

Violets, on the other hand....

This tiny flower, more than any other, suggests spring to me.  A small clump appears every year in the hedgerow opposite my house, and I always look for them.  They weren't there on Monday, but I noticed they had appeared yesterday.  Pity it isn't Tuesday!
