Sun again
and suddenly camping didn't seem such a bad option and so our intrepid heroes headed off to our the camping beachon North Uist. Almost jealous.
We couldn't join them sadly as we had to head north for lunch with friends. Very civilized and a quiet evening consequentially.
High tide by the house and the slating in front of the house got their fair ration of water. Interesting shapes when not fully flooded.
For fifty years in the nineteenth century, the foreground area had been drained and was cultivated. One wonders if some of the lines are a remnant of that cultivation. There do seem to be a lot of straight lines for a random pattern.
