Tiny Tuesday - Texture

This is a greatly magnified view of the rubberised hand grip of an SLR, in this case a Canon D6, taken under the digital microscope. One can see why an SLR feels relatively firm even when held by one hand as this rubberised grip provides an excellent non-slip surface. I was able to capture the image quite easily because I am stripping down a defunct Canon D6 and could therefore flatten out the rubberised grip and put it under the microscope.
