Old paper.

Today was furniture clearance day at Mum’s house. I don’t know why, but it totally drained us. We came home and sat all afternoon.... most unlike us. We watched A Place to Call Home , had dinner and then summoned up enough energy to go a walk.

This copy of the “Hammy Ad” was under lino at Mum’s. It is dated Feb 1952, just before Mum and Dad moved in, in March.

Coincidentally John’s Dad had a column in this paper in the late 50’s until he retired.
