...........Yes - this large clump of Physalis (Winter cherry) really is as brilliant as this appears - sooc except for a little crop! It is growing outside the gate of a bungalow not far away and seems to improve in brilliance and size every year.
When dried these seed heads are used extensively in Winter floral arrangements. Perhaps when my garden gets sorted after the Water Board have done their worst, I might see if I can grow some. Have heard nothing from them as yet!

Weather again dull and gloomy so todays blip may cheer everyone up a bit - and no, the sun wasn't shining on them!!
