Oh Deer!

We were on our way to Lowe's this afternoon when we passed this herd of about a dozen female white-tail deer.  We quickly turned around and pulled into a parking lot nearby.

Unfortunately, we were in a fairly urban area and the deer were trapped between some houses and a busy road.  We sat and watched them for a little while and hoped that they didn't run out into the road.  They kept looking towards the road and then running back towards the houses. We left after about 15-20 minutes and they were still there.  I just hope that they made it to a safe place away from the road. We didn't drive by there again because we didn't to see if anything bad had happened.
