Dog vomit slime mould

In yesterday's little exchange I mentioned the dog vomit slime mould so I thought I'd better blip some today. We have had quite a lot of it around the wooded parts of the common in the recent warm damp spell. But now cold weather and heavy rain is forecast and that will probably wipe it out.

This, so far as I know, is the early bright yellow phase which resembles scrambled egg. It soon turns more of an off-white colour. The weird thing is - it moves......
