Light and shadows. Sutton Park. (Nature reserve)

 Yesterday I took lots of photos on our walk. The light was so bright and clear. A sparkly morning. I love the way it shines through tree branches and casts strong shadows along the ground.
 Today we had another hour in the park, after a glorious morning which I spent pruning the roses once more, as my dad had taught me exactly where to cut each small stem. It doesn't stop me from having several scratches from the thorns! It reminds me of him each year as I carefully perform each task. 
I wanted to make sure that I had finished before Easter, when the temperatures are once more predicted to plummet. 
   The clouds were gathering during this afternoon and rain will arrive during the night, heralding a more unsettled spell. 
For now I have a book to read this evening, and the cat is asleep on my knee.
