Following on

from Saturdays Blip. A lot of my Mam's family were Pitmen.
They had come up from Devon to work in the Cramlington pit.

I love this photo of my gr great Uncle. He is lily white and I guess his son is next in the tub for a scrub !! 

Richard must have been adventurous as he went off to Australia where his son Richard was born in1887.He must be about 14 on this photo.
Another daughter was born before they returned to the UK..
I wonder if this photo was taken by a professional photographer who went round the area "blipping" things?
I couldn't work out how to add it from my desk top so took a photo of a photo.: (
