Gull's homage to the sun

Caught the sunrise this morning as I turned into Carlton Gore Road by the Auckland Domain. This is the last of four shots of the sun passing from the upper quarter above the clouds to fully above the clouds. I was joined in my observation of the grandeur of a spring sunrise by a solitary gull.

Minor adjustments only, to let the foreground be seen, and then to restore the colours a little. As always, the sun is more yellow than it appeared to me in real life.

After a long and tiring day at the office, we are home and waiting for the grandboys who are having a sleep over in the emergency beds in my study at the apartment. Quick blip, before organising the room to accommodate the two lads.
