Happy birthday Pluto

A special day for Mr Blue toe. Him an I went for a wander through the orchard, one of his favourite things to do, I think he remembers the time when we got here, 11 years ago, there was no fencing and he had free reign, and ate himself in short time to a size that he could not get in the car. He was 4. He has , thanks to his outstanding personal discipline , been in good shape ever since.

For a while we referred to him as our golden Lab, due to his ability to visit the vets for serious issues, such as when he got half a mango pip stuck in his intestines. When a lab wont eat you know its serious so took him in and they did emergency surgery that day. There was also the time he got hit by a car after sneaking off, and that we think was the start of the arthritis. But mostly he deserves the moniker, a golden lab, because he is a genuine treasure.

Tomorrow for the usual birthday cake with an extra special topping.
