One Young World at Google

Volunteered again today with One Young World and had a fantastic time. A group of Pittsburgh volunteers escorted 58 delegates to break out sessions at Google headquarters and UPMC clinical solutions. This is a group of happy delegates having just worked out many team-designed prototypes for food wastage solutions.

Following the breakout session, we broke into groups of 6 and até dinner in local homes. My group até at a local girls high school. 15 members of Ellis School's Model UN team joined us, along with 4 local students who were part of the Youth Media team hosted by OYW. I must say, I was impressed by the enthusiasm and passion these young adults had for the world and global issues. I truly believe I just met some of the world's great leaders. (and I might have convinced a handful to become engineers!)
