My furry visitor.

I was amazed to see this huge bumble bee out and about this afternoon . It was rather slow and lazy but was taking in the nectar from our grape hyacinths which are just coming into flower. I watched as he lumbered over and around the plant. I do love bees and he or she was a stunning example.

Up early to do mucking out. However Mrs Tbay Jnr was out before me today. She was on a mission to get everything done so that the family plus Mrs V could all head of to the Mendip Point to Point. As this event is on top of the Mendips the weather is often dire with horizontal sleet/snow or a biting wind. Today however it was glorious and they all had a wonderful time. Little Miss thought it was all jolly good fun too.

After my outside duties I went on a shopping mission for a baby gift and then joined Mr Taby in the pub across the road for a swift half before lunch. I do have to admit this afternoon was a very lazy one!

Day finished off with a nice big fat roast chicken and all the trimmings. Mmmm.
