Today didn't quite go to plan.

Yes, there was a plan (for once!) It involved staying overnight on an Aire close to a motorhome dealer outside Angers and looking at vans in the morning.

We elected to travel from Saumur on the lévèe along the Loire. The weather wasn't half bad and the sun was breaking through. We found a parking spot right outside the boulangerie that we like in Saint Clement des Lèvées and happily purchased bread, tarts and cider and went on our way. But not for long, as we came across the dreaded "Route Barree" and "Deviation" signs. In typical French fashion, there was an absence of redirection signs. Between instinct and the SatNav we managed to reach Montreuil Juigne, where we found another Route Barree and... the Aire to be full.

A little research over lunch showed the next best options to be on the far side of this second obstruction and so we changed plans and came to La Séguinière, near Cholet. Guess what earworm I have been fighting all afternoon...

A nice wee town and a nice wee Riverside aire, with ducks and geese. Picturesque but no doubt annoying in the morning.

When morning comes the boulangerie is just across the road, so I am expecting croissants.

This afternoon has been gorgeous, all open doors and bare arms. We hope for more of the same tomorrow, when we head for a site near Airvault.
