Kent Valley

Today's the day ............................. to climb the hill

From standing at my kitchen sink, I can get to this view in about seven minutes.

It involves crossing over the Windermere Road and then climbing up the footpath on to Kendal Fell.  It never fails to delight me when I turn round and I can see most of the valley of the River Kent, with the town of Kendal nestling below - and right across to the Howgill Fells on the horizon.

I feel very fortunate to live in this part of the country and to have views like this on my doorstep ...........................
