A Matter of Degrees
Set off early to drive over to Garstang as planned.
What we hadn’t expected was below freezing temperatures and freezing fog.
We were in plenty of time before the race so could take our time and drive slowly.
Still cold when we arrived but by the start of the race the sun was burning off the fog and it was getting warmer by the minute.
Went for a walk while Mr P ran the seven mile race and ambled over to the finish to wait for him coming back.
Was surprised to see he had already finished and more surprised when we found out he had won his age category!
Drove home in lovely sunshine and noted the temperature had risen to double figures, it actually felt like Spring!
