Tourist trip

After a good breakfast, headed to Bateman, the home of Rudyard Kipling until his death. Viewed House, gardens and Mill then stopped for lunch. House full of Indian trinkets he had collected, most of the furniture is original retrieved from his daughter - the house had been left to the National Trust by Rudyards wife but their daughter had already cleared the property and taken to her home, Wimpole house (also a National Trust property) and not all items made it back. Restored to reflect the time Rudyard was living there, an interesting place to visit. :)

From here, took a trip to Battle. Took a picture of the Abbey because by the time we arrived there would not be long in there and didn’t want to pay the price. Wonderful statue on the roundabout in to Battle.

Next trip on to Bexhill-on-sea and a walk along the promenade - I’ve managed my 10,000 steps today.
