Train the Trainer
Boy am I glad that's over! Well almost. This here is most of the group who have been cooped up training to be trainers all week. Our trainer is the lady third from left. A Canadian lady with a great sense of humour and more patience than most of us have had hot dinners. The formal part of the work is now over. Written work needs to be submitted by November 23rd so there is a little time for relaxation now.
I might as well admit that I screwed up badly in the practical this morning but at least I have been able to identify the areas where I went wrong, including accepting the layout of the room and equipment as I found it and attempting to work around it rather than changing it to suit my needs. Ever try to do Photoshop work on a laptop screen which is facing a row of large windows? Well take it from me, it's very difficult to see what you are doing. Learn from my mistake, set yourself up properly. Funny thing was that the trainer/tutor told me in no uncertain terms to put it out of my mind. She must have been satisfied with the rest of the test. I'm glad she was because I was disgusted with it.
One day of work and then away with us on Saturday for a full week in Paris. I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to it. We will be staying very close to Montmartre. What are the chances that Toulouse-Lautrec might still be around?
