Gliding along

Needed a break after unpacking and reading the instructions for my new sewing machine.  
Bit disappointed to find that the zipper foot is plastic, but maybe the metal one from my old machine may work.  It fits, but not tested.  I can see by the flimsy dust cover etc that there is a reason why I have paid half what I paid 26 years ago for the previous purchase.  Proper testing tomorrow, as I have other things to do today, like housework!
Also instead of offering a personal instructional demonstration, I have been given an instructional DVD.  How times have changed.  Feel sorry for a beginner with a new machine.
