Our friends picked us up at the airport, which was very lucky because we had so much luggage. On the way to Reykjavík I got an email that our new car was ready to be picked up, I just had to pay. I did that on the way and when we arrived at the dealer everything was ready. Very convenient.
Just one small snag, a charging cable was not included, which I did not realize until we came home and saw that the cable that was in the car is only for a charging unit that still has to be installed. Fortunately it had enough juice to get back to Reykjavík the next day.
