I'm not hungry
Earlier this morning I was driving down Ladbroke Grove when I saw a car moving at speed from my right. Had a bus not hit her she would have ploughed into my driver side door and I would be in hospital.
The bus hit her with a thud and pushed her up the road.
I put my hazards on and pulled over, running back to check how she was.
Despite cuts to her face she seemed lucid. The kiddie in the back was luckily in a child seat on the passenger side and just wondering what was going on.
I rested my hand gently on her arm as she made phone calls. The ambulance was called. The bus driver called the Police. People milled around her in a reassuring West London way.
We got her car into a side road so that traffic could flow.
I gave my details to the bus driver.
I went on my business, coming back to talk to Police.
It's only when I sat down for lunch that the shock hit me.
I didn't eat.
Went home, cooked some halloumi and peppers, poured a glass of Calvet.
That's it for the day.
