Pineapple Express

This is White Face, the mountain that we look out upon from our home, during a brief break in the rain.  All this rainfall is due to an atmospheric river starting in the South Pacific and barreling toward California called the Pineapple Express. (because these systems originate over Hawaii). 
Don’t let the bromantic comedy with the same name fool you: upward of 9 inches of rainfall was reported in Santa Barbara just north of us.
