almost exotic

C and his girlfriend are emigrating to new zealand in a couple of weeks, and leaving town this weekend, so i went over to studentville to have a last coffee with him - perhaps inevitably we talked issues pertaining to studentland, but it was nice not talking about work too much and The Other Thing not at all. only recently rediscovered each other via the wonders of facebook, and so it's a shame he's offski, but oh well. this is our exotic-looking meeting place: potterow dome. glass dome roof, palm trees... and then you look down and it's students and coffee in paper cups and hardwearing-but-scuffed rubbery flooring, rather than ladies who lunch, bone china and pale varnished planks :-)

beautiful day tho; am glad i arranged to meet C as otherwise i'd probly still be lounging around looking at it out of the window! off again in a bit to meet K, who i've not seen in a couple of months, so plenty to catch up on i imagine.
