Au Petit Versailles du Marais (+ a Blackbird)

This is a wonderfully decorated bakery and pastry shop in the Marais, in Paris 4e, not far from Pont Marie. We were on the way to L'As du Fallafel, our favorite falafel restaurant in the area, where we had our favorite falafel sandwich (Marylee swears it outdoes the ones she had on her visit to Israel in 1994) We went on to the MEP--the European Center for Photography. Its site is unfortunately only in French, but it will give you a taste of the excellent exhibitions currently on show (properly describing them would triple this comment :)  The extra shows a lovely European Blackbird from yesterday--my first good view this winter.
