Loadsa Lapwings

We decided to have a walk this morning and as the forecast looked quite good, we thought we'd have a wander up on the moors. In the event, the sun disappeared and it was very cold. In spite of this, we enjoyed the fresh air and had some nice wildlife sightings, including Curlews, Snipe and Golden Plover, Rabbits, a Hare, but sadly no Water Voles I can only hope they were staying below ground, and that the terrible weather has not taken its toll. The good news is that the Lapwings were there in very healthy numbers, so as long as the weather doesn't take another turn for the worse, they should have a good breeding season.
