The sun shining briefly

A friend came for lunch today and we went to my favourite cafe in the village. This was a blip I took leaving the cafe and I like the light on the building. The buildings have all been there for a long time and have changed functions many times. When I first moved here in 1982,Mathew Castlegate Card shop was a typical corner shop of its day. As I lived on Castlegate in those days I used this shop a lot. These corner shops are largely a thing of the past or used for very different purposes like this one and this is the fate of many such shops.

So a good day, building up my strength and looking forward to seeing my daughter tonight who is here for a few days
