Lefty

Yes, I finally succombed to his cuteness and gave him the name Lefty (because he has a notch in his left ear). After my love affair with Nutkin, followed by her many litters of squirrels that came to my door for peanuts and destroyed my wooden deck, I have turned a blind eye to the few beggars that showed up in recent years. But Lefty is not interested in peanuts, or at least has never gotten one from me. He comes to the deck to drink water from the bird feeder. Then he hangs around waiting for Laney to see him and get all riled up. If Laney happens to be sleeping and does not see him, he bangs on the door!  Then I let Laney out to chase him and he titters and teases and has the best of times.
