Taking the rough ....

Another missed opportunity today.  Jamie and I both feeling rough, we had to sit out another turn on the trains.  Almost dusk when the train I should have been guarding returned.  I snatched a quick blip in the last of the light.  

Loco No 6 is 100 years old this year, the new livery reflects it's origins serving RAF bases.   The RAF is also 100 years old having been formed on 1 April 1918 when the Royal Flying Corps merged with the Royal Naval Air Service.  My maternal grandfather flew reconnaissance with the RNAS.  He later worked with airships before moving into air traffic control.
