Lizard
We had just finished our fish and chip lunch at the beach in Poole, when my Director of Blip Spotting Opportunities saw a movement on the rocks and there was a lizard!
Dorset is home to all the native species of lizard and I think but cannot be sure that this is the common lizard (Zootoca vivipara formerly Lacerta vivipara)
In the space of ten minutes we saw about six lizards, including (I think….) the non-native green wall lizards.
Oh what a joy to see and photograph them!
PS Did you know....a group of lizards is a....lounge?
PPS SO much better in LARGE if you can.
