East from Moor Fea
On Hoy, Orkney. I was volunteering with the RSPB today (there's one of them on the left!). We were lucky with the weather as it stayed dry. It looks summery, but there was a bitter north wind blowing. We could have done with a 'skuggi', a sheltered spot on the hill, an Old Norse word I recently came across. 'Fea' is also Old Norse and means hill'. More shots from the day here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/octobermoth/
