Left

I took it out to give to a young lady. She was crying that sort of ugly cry that you can’t hide when some thing is really upsetting you. She was sat outside the doors, alone and in the cold. It broke my heart to see her crying, and I couldn’t just walk away. I reached into my coat pocket and took it out, crisp and clean and handed it to her. She looked up at me through these drench eyes and managed a slight smile. Nothing was said. Nothing shared. An acknowledgement of thanks through tear soaked cheeks. I left.

That is all.
