TAKAHE

Saw on the news tonight as these birds are still endangered some had been released elsewhere.
My friend and I went to ORAKANUI ECO SANCTUARY last year and we're lucky enough to see these birds. I can remember when Dr, Orbell of Invercargill discovered them in Fiordland, so,they haven,t been back a very long time.
I feel very privileged to have been able to photograph these birds, and especially love the second photo of two birds feeding. Looks like one big body and four legs. Wonderful.
