Twenty-seven/11011

Yesterday was Charlie's twenty-seventh birthday. Being an actual grown-up now, she spent her evening out with her chums but today she and Hannah came up to Kirkby for slightly belated birthday celebrations. 

This meant, I needed to bake a cake and, as I've never missed a year*, this is the twenty-seventh one I've baked for her. Of course, twenty seven candles would be ridiculous and that's where binary comes in useful :-)

*Charlie will tell you I was away for one of her birthdays and it's true that in 2004 I was in New York and missed the actual day. I did still bake a cake, though.
