Where are the Crowds?

I can’t get over how deserted the centre of Verona is. The maze of narrow streets are totally empty and even more beautiful at night with the ancient stone work lit up than during the daylight hours. Taken out tonight by the locals to a tiny Osteria to sample proper local food and wine. Amazing experience. The kitchen only use ingredients 100% from the immediate region and there was no menu ...slightly challenged as a vegetarian it had to be said and had to stray from the vegan path for the evening as food made without burro not a possibility! I dare not ask the chef !!
